Well Hello!
It has been awhile since I last posted any projects. This past Friday I made this top as a trial using this fabric from the stash (don't know what made me buy this, lol).
Description: Misses' Tops & Dresses. Pullover tops and dresses with neckline variations, loose-fitting, elasticized side seams on lower section bodice. narrow stictched hems on necklines and armholes.
Sizing: 6-14. I made a Size 12. View C.
Alterations: Since this was a practice run, I made no alterations and won't need any. I will go down
to Size 10 because the top is very loose-fitting. I want a closer fit.
What I like/dislike: I like this pattern and may fall in love with it in a smaller size.
View C is the sleeveless version. It went together quickly. I scanned the instructions and they are very easy to follow. I'd give this a 1.5 hr time frame-cutting out to finishing.
Well here are the pictures:
| The Front - Blouson/Surplice |
| Elasticized Side Seam - Here I Used 1/2" Clear Elastic |

Pretty top, love the print.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sheila.
DeleteThis is a pretty summer top. I had the same confusion on Sunday. I tried to order several new Vogue patterns while they were on sale. They were all out of stock. Miraculously they were all back in stock on Monday after the sale ended. That was a dirty trick.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joyce. About Vogue, I'm still a little ticked off. Maybe paying for the BMV subscription will no longer be an investment. I Will pay close attention to this before renewing.
DeleteBrenda what a cute little blouson top. It's going to be soooo cool to wear during the summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Faye. This was a practice run. I will make it again in a different fabric to see whether I fall in love. Normally blouson tops don't agree but I do like this one.
